Questions about flying a gyrocopter?

Look at eaa.org the experimental aircraft association has lots of interesting stuff. They have local chapters also. I think you need a pilots license, with an endorsment for rotor craft. They do not take off vertical, you need a landing strip to take off just like an airplane. landing can be almost vertical.
