My friend commited suicide?

I was in such a good mood and then my Mum came and told me that the leader of this club called earlier to tell everybody that this boy killed himself. I didn't even know him that well. We just went to the same church and that club so I actually barely knew him, when my mum told me it just felt weird that he's gone forever, but now I've been crying loads. Last time I saw him he was happy and funny. I don't remember the last thing I said to them. I'm sad, but, I didn't really know them! It feels so bad that I just won't be able to EVER even see him, BUT I BARELY KNEW HIM! Apart from my hamster this is the first time somebody who I've know has died. I don't know what to do... Advice?
