If you get arrested and they take your prints do they run them through unsolved crimes right away?

I was arrested and my prints were taken. I dont know of any crimes I have commited, but in the past few years, you never knowm I could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Would they run the prints through the system for unsolved crimes right away or do they wait until I am convicted? Like if they were gunna get me for something else would I know by now or do I have to wait until after I am convicted?
